Hey! What are you working on today?
Need to ship the landing page this morning. Then code reviews after lunch. Probably some API work in the afternoon.
Planning Coach
Sounds like a solid day. Want me to block off the landing page as Deep Work so nothing interrupts you?
Yeah, Deep Work for the morning. And I'll need a break around 11.
Planning Coach
Done. I've set up 5 blocks with 4.5 hours of focus time. You can tweak anything — just drag the handle.

Frequently asked questions

Can I really not turn it off?

Up to you. Without Strict Mode, quit whenever you want. With it on? It survives Cmd+Q, relaunches on reboot, and needs your partner's 6-digit code to disable. You pick which version of yourself makes the rules.

Is my data private?

Everything stays on your Mac. The AI runs locally on Apple's Neural Engine. Your URLs, page titles, and browsing data never leave the device. No cloud. No account. No tracking.

Which browsers does it work with?

Chrome, Safari, Arc, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Vivaldi. Desktop apps — Slack, Figma, Xcode, whatever — are tracked natively too.

Does it slow down my Mac?

Nope. AI runs on Apple's Neural Engine. Tab checks happen every 10 seconds. You'll forget it's running.

How does the AI know what's relevant?

It reads your tab title and checks it against whatever you said you're working on. Figma tutorial while you're designing? Fine. Figma tutorial while you're supposed to be writing? Caught. It runs entirely on your Mac — no cloud, no one watching.

What if I work from multiple devices?

Right now, Intentional is macOS only. Your Mac is where the deep work happens — and where the distractions live. iOS and Windows are on the roadmap, but we're focused on making one platform bulletproof before we spread thin.

What happens if I need to take a break?

Schedule a Free Time block. Your earned browse balance carries over, social media is unlocked, and nothing gets flagged. Intentional knows the difference between a break and a spiral. You planned the break — enjoy it.

Still scrolling?

You could've already installed it. One afternoon of focus and you'll wonder why you waited.

1

Install the app

Open the .dmg, drag to Applications, launch. Grant accessibility permissions when prompted.

2

Load the extension

Unzip, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, click "Load unpacked" and select the folder.

3

They auto-connect

The extension detects the running app automatically. You'll see a green dot in the extension popup.

Heads up: The app is signed but not yet notarized — macOS will ask you to confirm via System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway." The extension is sideloaded, so Chrome will show a developer mode banner on launch — just dismiss it. Both are temporary during beta.
